I've been a talktalk customer (9yrs) & have decided to leave them(for sky/plusnet) I know that I can't keep my email addresses but I've no idea what's the best option for me.
I use a desk-top(home) with Thunderbird & firefox.
Is outlook mail available with firefox?
It needs to be simple to set up please.
Thanks

:TI've sent an email to myself using thunderbird. Thunderbird was so easy.
Just need to change all my talktalk accounts before I leave them.
Many thanks pappa.0 -
If you log into the GMX webmail site you an set their 'Mail Collector' to continue collecting your TT emails and have them delivered along with your new GMX mail. This should cover anyone you forget to tell of the change. You can then turn it off at a later date...Drinking Rum before 10am makes you

i'm 32 now and when i first started messing with the internet age 14 (18years ago now). I knew from the get go that it's best to use a hotmail email which I can use from any ISP and is with me for life.
Back in those days though to access you email you had to dial into the ISP, it would detect your IP when trying to connect from a different email and bar you from access.
Just get hotmail or gmail. gmail is slightly more universal in that it has IMAP support. hotmail/outlook only works well with live mail (dont think it even works with outlook). So gmail will have to do.
I prefer hotmail because i dont want google to run my life. Just hope microsoft doesn't kill it with bing in the future and starts to dominate search - then i'll have to use some other email as I will be binging everything.0 -

Hotmail was fine but since they recently switched mine to "outlook mail" it's rubbish, you cannot remove "skype" from it and it runs far slower than Gmail or even Yahoo mail.0 -
GMX has been great for me. I also rent a domain name, which costs £2 or £3 a year. That way I can keep my email address if I ever need to switch away from GMX.0
