This is just by way of informing others about how rubbish O2 customer service is. I am not seeking advice and i have the issue in hand.
In 2013 I had an O2 sim in my phone and was paying an amount for the package which was around £10 pm. It was a monthly renewable deal.
I used it for a year or two then decided to switch provider.
In accordance with their T&Cs i contacted them by phone, by email and then using their on line chat facility.
The reason why i had to contact them thrice is because their CS operatives simply were very very resistant to accepting my cancellation and kept trying to push different deals at me.
Presumably they are bullied by O2 and made to try and retain customers on pain of death.
I actually have chat transcripts saved which indicate my direct instruction to end the account and their final acknowledgement of it from their chat operative in upper volta or wherever they are based.
I finally got them to hear me,or so i thought but on checking recently, they have placed a default on my credit report.
I have disputed it and raised a complaint about their incompetence.
Even a cursory search shows that this problem is endemic in O2 and is even widely discussed on their own support forums.
What an incompetent and shameful company.

Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..
