As Holland has still not logged on, is there anyone that wants to take over buying and posting That's Life magazine then please?
It is out every Thursday for £0.74p.
thanks back to you for highlighting the issue & hopefully
they'll be a volunteer along to help.please be a responsible pet owner & spay/neuter your pets, too many strays & not enough homes for them sadly.0 -
I will give it a go if nobody else is willing, I did offer to post for Holland once before when they were behind but they came back and caught up xYou never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

I agree with others - if something comes up in life it's going to take priority and posting competition answers would be the last thing on my mind. If I could get online to let someone know I would, but sometimes it could just not be possible.
Hope everything is ok Holland when you do see this xThanks to all posters :A0 -

Fantastic, thanks ikkle, are you okay to start from tomorrow's issue?
I will send another to pm to Holland to let her know what has been done, hopefully whatever is going on this will take some pressure off for her at least.StayHome * StaySafe * BeKind0 -
Hi all,
I am also happy to volunteer; if ikkle87 cannot do it; or perhaps we can take it in turns?
I'd love to be able to give something back to the forum as you are all so kind; especially the regular posters.
Let me know. I could start from tomorrow's issue.
And if Holland comes back I can stop. I do hope they are OK.2015 win - Snoopy and Charlie Brown preview screening tickets2016 wins - £50 Real People magazine; wedding show tickets; £200 That's Life! magazine2022 win - £100 Selfridges voucher from Diet CokeThanks to all the posters :beer:0 -

Thanks for the response Rainbow. I've just noticed from your earlier posts that that £1,000 of yours was from the 'Pick Me Up' magazine crossword.
That makes the third person I've heard of winning the 'Pick Me Up' crossword prize from a postal entry!
I know (as mgm3346 pointed out here http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=69994908&postcount=17 ) that according to these magazines' own terms and conditions that every entry has the same chance of winning regardless of how it is made
However I sometimes wonder if these magazines override their own rules to favour people who are likely to have actually bought their magazines and solved the puzzles for themselves.
That could explain why despite entries running into tens of thousands some names seem to appear repeatedly in the winners lists.( I know I've made that point before. http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=69991707&postcount=6 )
We know that some of the magazines actually put a bar against anyone linking directly to their online entry form from MoneysavingExpert. That shows they don't really like us. You could say boosting the odds of the postal entrant (unofficially of course) is their way of bringing in a bit of fairness to the system.0 -

They don't need to, there is no requirement for them to offer internet entry so they could simply stop doing so.
However, many actual readers enter online, online is cheaper to manage than postal and there is always a chance for income from online entry which they do not get from postal ones.0
