On a slightly different click and collect topic - i have an item listed which will go as a small parcel at £2.80. Just received a message saying when they try to buy why isnt the postage coming up as free when they choose click and collect?! Am i missing something? I told them it still costs the same for me to post it to an Argos store as their house.0

I don't think Click and collect comes up at all if postage is showing as a separate charge?
Frankly though I am confused by a lot of things ebay do now, as very often the terms and conditions in the help pages are inaccurate.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I just sold another item today which had separate posting listed as £2.80 and the address to send to is an Argos click and collect. I do remember now you mention this was only supposed to happen with free postage offered - seems this has now changed then.0

Imagine a day when ebay t and cs and explanations *and* reality are all the same- sigh...I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. This is the latest I can find:

it appears that delivery estimate must be within 5 days, so MyHermes would now be eligible. It also looks like the free postage requirement has been dropped- but it was definitely there when this was first discussed on the seller boards.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. But are they not just as likely not collect it from a sorting office also?
No - it's worse than that. People think your item is in stock in Argos and they can pick it up the same day.
They chose the option because they needed it quick but delivery to Argos is in fact slower.Warning: any unnecessary disclaimers appearing under my posts do not bear any connection with reality, either intended, accidental or otherwise. Your statutory rights are not affected.0 -
I tried it once, never again. The buyer got messages to say parcel was ready to collect. They went several times and Argos couldn't find it.
Ebay refunded the buyer. Then another message was sent telling them it had arrived with a different collection number. As far as I am aware it's still sat in some Argos store waiting to be returned back to me. This was 8 months ago!0 -

Tell the buyer they've missed the point, or misunderstood.
There's nothing to suggest the service is being provided for free.

I also sent a parcel to Argos, some time later I received an e-mail - buyer had opened a INR case against me:mad:
Next day I received item back from Argos, and posted on here re - refunding postage charges. Was advised I needed to refund in full, then was advised I could try and withhold postage cost. I refunded in full.
Then I found out I had a INR against me:mad: Complained to ebay stating that as item was sent to Argos, they checked and agreed with me I had in fact sent the item:) so they removed the INR:j
Also mentioned to ebay, that my item should not have been offered for Argos collection as did not offer "free postage" which is mandatory for Argos collection - but they did not comment on that:eek:
After that - I also removed Argos collection option from my items.:)Always have 00.00 at the end of your mortgage and one day it will all be 0's :dance:MF[STRIKE] March 2030[/STRIKE] Yes that does say 2030  Mortgage Free 21.12.18 _party_Now a Part Timer from 27.10.190 -

The free postage requirement no longer seems to apply, my earlier post has a link to the requirements.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
