I sold an item on eBay and the customer requested delivery to Argos
I have had a return notification today from ebay saying that the item is being returned to me as the customer failed to collect. I have been advised that I must refund the buyer in full and am not allowed to deduct my postage costs
Think this may be the end of me offering delivery to Argis.

But are they not just as likely not collect it from a sorting office also?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0

I have this problem only for the other side - I am the buyer.
Seller messaged me to say they had my parcel returned to them as I didn't collect it from the Post Office. I didn't even know it was at the PO! I never received a card through the doorSeller wont give me my money back as they say they have done their part (I do actually see their point, its not their fault - but its not mine either) I offered to split the difference and said I would be happy with refund for the item and half the amount paid for postage but they won't accept it
all they will do is send me the item out again if I pay postage again.
Maybe the buyer did not know it was waiting at Argos0 -

Argos are supposed to let them know the item is there. If this isnt working, the whole point of click and collect doesn't work. You're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -
Argos will send an email via ebay to state your item has arrived and is awaiting collection. The trouble is, they will only hold on to the item for a set time period as they do not have a massive storage area.
That means that if the buyer has lost their internet or has been hospitalised, then by the time they find out their item is waiting for them, it will have been returned to sender.Never Knowingly Understood.

however systems do sometimes fail. In my situation the post office were suppose to let me know it was there (to be fair they normally do) but they didn't.
I fully appreciate its not your fault just trying to put the other side across that it might not be the buyers fault either.
Someone one has to lose out. I feel for you as I am in the same situation, in your case you lost out in my case I lost out0 -
As a buyer I have used Argos collect several times and find it excellent. I get an email and then go and collect. As I pass Argos several times a week this works for me, no missed delivery etc.0

Emails do sometimes go into spam folder somwon't be received...Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0
