Its a good question. I have no idea!
So i thought Id use this as a bit of a blog, to see what I save in this pay month.
I get paid tomorrow - so Ill start then
we do have some plans- we are off on hols in October, which we need to buy some stuff for including a camera, and Im changing job again, so money will be tight I think. im also on the cambridge diet at the mo, so our once-tight food budget has gone through the roof.
Anyway, Ill start tomorrow, not bothered if anyone else is bothered or not
See you tomorrow!

 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

Hi Lynzpower!
I've been keeping a record of savings since the start of the year and I've found it really useful to keep track of small savings and also to keep me motivated! It's gone to pot a little since the arrival of the new baby but I'm still going to keep going until the end of the year and then add up my savings! :j
I, for one, will be following your thread with interest!0 -
this is really interesting
i always think i should tot up my savings or teh money i make from nowt but im too busy/lazy! haha!
:T The best things in life are FREE! :T0 -
Ok, well im not too sure if this counts but hey, i reckon it does!
this morning I went to a car boot sale.and I bought
a lush italian cookery book for 1.00 new, and the cheapest on amazon is 6.99
a pumice stone ( new obv) for 20p - cheapest at boots 1.49
a cocotte for 50p - I cant find one similar online, but I know it would cost at least a tenner on ebay.
A jigsaw top - 50p this would be 3.00 on ebay at least
Principles trousers 50p - I bet they would be 2.50 on ebay
cheese board - new 50p, at least a fiver in the shops
reiss top - 50p - at least 8.00 on ebay
8 paperback books- for 2.00- lets call that a tenner if i bought 2nd hand
oasis shorts- £1 - at least a fiver on ebay- they dont fit, so i hope thats what they fetch!
A mincer- how OS is that! for 50p - I have no idea what these cost but Id anticipate about a tenner
Saving 54.99
then off to tescos - where I managed to offload 5.40s of vouchers and got an extra 400 points in vouchers & till spits.
Also done a free coral MB today, which is 20.00s worth when it clears.
About to put through the toiletries on my consumer pulse- which will net me a 10 voucher too ( saving them for Xmas)
Bottle of water taken from home- 70p again.
todays total then- using moneysavingexpert principles to the max is 100.39
running total since yesterday - 451.09 richer this month, than I would be not using MSE principles :beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

I just stick my change in bottles. I have those large water bottles, 5ltr ones. The fisrt is all the small stuff and the other is £1-2 coins. So far these past few months, there's about £100 in small and another £100+ in the pounds.
so about £200 so far. I don't intend on dipping into them though, I'm looking foward to counting it all once they are full.
The £'s one is only about an inch deep, imagine how much will be in there once full :eek:Please do not feed the Trolls!0 -
http://search.ebay.co.uk/search/search.dll?from=R40&_trksid=m37&satitle=cocotte   nice one op
i was wondering too lol0 -
cocotte apparently is also another name for "lady of the night"!!
no moneysaving here today- Ive had a nice no spend day :beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

i had promised myself to reduce my daily spending of lunch and finally got it reduced from £6 to £4 each day... with a lovely chicken-avocado-salad sandwich for £2.70 freshly made in a cafe with a nice tea cup for £1.50 ... if i can keep it up, i can make a saving of £10 every week and £40 every months .. that is if i can keep it... *sigh* but i am trying ...0
