  • Can I ask you all what form filling software you use? Is it free to download and is it safe? (currently don't have virus protection on my rubbish old laptop)
  • I use roboform (think it's called that)

Welcome to the world of comping. If you don't have virus protection, I would get some, even if it is free. You don't know what dodgy sites you might end up clicking on.

Have a read of the guide to get hints and tips.

If you are hard up, if nothing else, comping is a free hobby, so you don't end up spending money on other things. (That is assuming of course you already have internet access) and you can daydream about what if you won.

I don't tend to win many prizes (although I enter loads), but the ones I do have added up in value to around £1000 or £2000 per year, as I mostly enter for bigger items.

    Good luck.

    Hi Alice,
It is addictive isn't it ! Just keep entering and eventually you will win....

...winning isn't guaranteed, even if you enter loads. Unless you are going for really small prizes too eg a dvd. Suggest you get a free virus checker asap I use Avast. (google avast)
  • Thanks everyone, I'll get myself some anti-virus this weekend and keep up the comps...hopefully my next post will be in I've won! I've won! I've won! ;-)

oh wow, 6-700 a week!! That must be about 20 hours week? Or am I just super slow..??

Once you get more used to the board, you do get quicker. You learn which sites are easiest to fill in etc. I was so slow when I started :rotfl: But I enter between 350-500 a week now and only really do an hour or an hour and a half a day.
I just enter and forget...hoping to win something! :)

I think the stats are right and you have to enter a lot to win a decent amount back. Doesn't mean you won't be lucky and win the odd prize but the more you enter the better. A lot on here including myself enter hundreds a day and i know i enter a minimum of 300 -400 a day and min of around 2000 plus a week. I do pretty well but it fills my nights until the early hours
    August-September 2017: Lots of stuff :)

Don't forget to check your junk/spam folder every day in case a 'Congratulations you're a winner' email has snuck in there (don't click on links from the ones that say you've been selected for a chance to be a winner, they're naughty). Also check FB messages if you enter FB comps. As soon as you win something you'll be hooked! Best of luck.
