Hello everyone!
I just wanted to write a few words to say how much I've enjoyed my first week of entering competitions! Its so addictive!!! I have forgotten what I've been entering for (well, I'm not keeping a list I mean) so hopefully there'll be some nice suprises soon....
We've had a really difficult few years financially, and it looks like things won't turn the corner for a while so I think comping is probably the only way we're going to get anything nice to use or do for a while! Saying that, I'm not pining my hopes on it, but am still hopeful...
I'm a stay at home mum and so far since monday I've entered approx 200 competitions...do you think I should expect some return on this investment if I keep it up??
Happy Friday all!

50 odd compers entered over 1 million competitions over an 8 month period last year. :T
We worked out that we had 1 win for every 1,561 competitions entered
So may have to do a few more before you get a win“I'd rather laugh with the sinners than cry with the saints.” - Billy Joel

haha....looks like I'd better cancel all my weekend plans and get cracking then!0

See, I reckon my comping odds are lower than the experiment, I enter around 6-700 a week and usually get at least around 6-8 prizes a month. In the end, if you keep entering, you WILL win - but no one can say when or what you can expect!0

RG01 - you won all of those prizes since you started in december? How many comps do you do a day/week if you don't mind me asking ?0
-
oh wow, 6-700 a week!! That must be about 20 hours week? Or am I just super slow..??0

I've won twice both advents from Facebook ( leather tray was one prize and a glow white set, mug and owl was another prize).
I don't enter daily but sit down a couple of times a week and battle out loads. I don't count and don't do too many it becomes a choreas a student nurse times limited at times haha

Hi Alice,
It is addictive isn't it ! Just keep entering and eventually you will win.
Even the smallest of prizes just showing up unexpectly brightens the day.
I enter for a lot of smaller prizes for the grandchildren books etc.
Sometimes I spend a couple of hours in the evening instead of watching TV.
Prize level last year was approx one a week.
Good luck0 -
Alice the longer you do it the more little things you will get a grip of to help you speed up a bit and you will also get into a routine and this will also help . If you haven't got a free form filler then I suggest you get 1 asap as this will significantly speed up the entry process for you on every comp0
