Not even sure what you mean by Chipest or Accaunt
Time is a path from the past to the future and back again. The present is the crossroads of both.

The best bank accounts article linked further up the page may answer your question, depending on exactly what you mean - if you're not from the UK, you may be pleasantly surprised to learn that most UK bank accounts are free to operate, provided you stay in credit....

Cheapest bank accounts are the free ones and there's quite a few, its all dependent if you want a branch local to you eg to pay money in.

Or maybe it's the bank that offers cards with the best chips in them.

Would the one that pays me £5 p.m. for having it be the cheapest?
    It's Halifax.

The chipest account would be one that doesn't charge any fees at all for anything. Such an account does not exist even in the prepaid sector.

Perhaps Fidor UK which has made available a Debit Mastercard is getting there though.

Fidor charges various fees including 1.5% forex and £1 per ATM withdrawal after the first 3.

How is this much better than say a Nationwide FlexBasic account?
This has Direct Debit functionality etc unlike Fidor

You sort of implied this by suggesting some exotic Fidor instead of a mainstream basic account:
    Charge-free basic bank accounts unveiled
Nine banks to offer fee-free basic accounts in the New Year

In what way is Fidor UK not mainstream? In fact Fidor UK is the first regulated challenger bank to issue a debit card since Metro Bank in 2010. I suppose it all depends on what you mean by "mainstream".

I sort of implied it? In what way did I sort of imply it?
