DMP Remortgage

Hi, I have had a DMP for nearly 2 years a which will end in May 2019. I have a joint mortgage with my partner with Santandar. We are looking to remortgage to reduce our monthly payments and also to be able to finish off essential work to our home. My partner has a high credit rating but obviously as I have a DMP mine is considerably lower. Can anyone advise as to how we could change our current mortgage provider without being penalised.
Many thanks

As you have a joint mortgage with your partner, your credit histories are linked, so your DMP will affect your partner's credit history.

I don't think you'll be able to re-mortgage, not with being in a DMP and so long to go until it ends. However speak to an advisor who would be best placed to see how you will fare.
