if buying a sofa always test them out by sitting on them, some are not nice, I would not order over the internet unless you have phycically sat in one.
we have ordered this and its comfy and sturdy, I have had full electrics for an extra £500. 3 seater and 2 seater

:T In answer to the question about whether www.leathersofaworld.com is any good then I can definitely answer without a doubt that they are fantastic!
I used them a couple of months ago and had a 3 and 2 seater espresso brown Royale suite from their Signature collection and it is just brilliant! Its one of their more expensive suites (well if you can call £899 expensive for good quality leather sofa suite?) but I decided to go all out as I just loved the look of it and was really really happy when it arrived.
Plus, you get your sofa in 7 days which I think is just amazing compared to the 8 - 12 weeks that most other companies offer at the moment. The service from the sales people and the delivery guys was second to none - the delivery guy even gave them a quick once over with some leather cleaner to remove the dust that the packaging had left!
Would very highly recommend this company and will certainly be using them again myself as they have some really nice furniture too and the prices are unbelievable!
Hope this helps...Amy :j0 -

I've dug out this thread because my OH wants to buy a sofa. With so many going bust the market is a bit different to how it was 2 years ago and around here there isn't much competition, only Harvey's at the cheap end.
They're advertising a 20% discount day tomorrow (Thursday). What do you think our chances are of getting further discount, and is the discount day just a distraction?0 -

Thanks for this link.
I'm interested in brown, 2 x two seaters, no baggy arms, modern yet comfortable & plain ol quality, I think this company loos worth a drive too. Been looking at M&S but their lack of colours in light browns has put me off, basically it tan only, no mid soft browns:rolleyes:0 -

The best value and quality of bespoke sofas can be found at The Designer Sofa in Long Eaton. Having done exhaustive research ranging from the diabolical DFS to Kensington's finest, I followed the advice of a post on this site, and although it involved a two hour hike up the M1, when I got to the other end it was worth every mile. These sofas are the real deal. The quality is exceptional using old school craftsmanship, and the service exemplary. These are people who really listen and totally deliver. They won't mess you about on price and you will save a bundle on 'shop bought' equivalent. Check them out for yourselves and don't be put off by the website - these guys can do anything and the sofas I bought could happily grace any top London showroom.:j0

These shops are really good though as they usually sell at around 50% if I remember rightly and do have a lot of choice.
We got a £1350 M&S sofa for £450 at Lawton's Furniture in Birkenhead - www.lawtonsfurniture.co.uk
It had a tiny mark on so they knocked a little extra off the price.
They have a few different sections - sets, individual sofas and chairs. The individual sofas are the cheapest because they don't have any other matching chairs to sell.
This is the sofa we bought: Abbey large sofa in chocolate brown - it's huge and so comfy!0
