Orange Sim Registration

Bought a new phone yesterday and decided to switch my orange PAYG sim cards over, however I'm dreading registering the new one, after the hassle I had last time.
I came across the orange booklet which said you could register your sim card online, and if you do so you can opt for the free text trigger plan, so I thought great, solves all my problems. Problem is, I've been trying for the past 24 hours, and it keeps saying the page has got a technical fault.
So my question is, has/does this work for anyone else?

It has always been problematic registering on-line. If you ring them up, they will transfer your old account/number/credit/settings etc. over to the new SIM as an upgrade, which may have more features compared to your old one. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

I purchased an Orange PAYG SIM yesterday for £1 with the text plan (which arrived this morning!) and registered it no probs at https://www.orange.co.uk/activate
If you purchased it online, you just need your SIM number and the password you set when purchasing
Hope this helps0 -
I tried the first link - which takes you through a number of steps before telling you that a technical fault has occurred, at least the second link tells you early doors without wasting your time, but both fail at the moment
I had been on the phone earlier on and Orange couldn't help either!! So had been trying the online alternatives.. When I called they asked my name, which I gave and then informed me that they had technical issues and I should try in 10-15 minutes.. Unbelievable!!!

Can you explain please - the text plan?
I bought a sim by phone from Orange for £1 yesterday and that just gives £1 credit.

Hi, bought £1 sim online, try to register SIM number on orange.co.uk/activate but keep getting We have not recognised this SIM number.
I tried calling 08000790006, but the girl there would not take my request unless I registered my phone!! The phone is mine, not theirs... I just bought the sim from them... She said she could not do it without the phone!! What a joke? Anyone else had this problem?0 -
