Friday 22nd Jan - What small DFW things will you do today?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.:money:

Good morning…
This morning I have the dentistFingers crossed nothing needs doing…
Will pop to a shop in town to stock up on oats, seeds and nuts in bulk. Only do this once a month or so so it may turn out to be a pricey day…
Oh well!
* Check bank (waiting for tax man cheque to clear so can pay off 2 credit cards!)
* chase up switching to First Direct. Tried to do it yesterday but servers seemed to go down on the confirmation pages? Not sure if it's all gone through correctly…
* all meals from home
* list trainers and dress on eBay
* probably end up baking with the niece
* have volunteered to help a friend moving house
* circuits tonight (only £3 and I love it…well I hate it but I love it…)
* check FPL
* check TCB
* pay day on Monday! (maybe it's Tuesday…)

Morning all!
Happy birthday Ally!
Small win last night - was sorting out the utility room and understairs cupboard and cam across a paintbrush and roller tray which OH had used and put in a bag to obviously resume painting but never did. Brush was completely rock solid and the old me would have probably just thrown it. But the new me soaked it in hot water and its brand new again and th roller tray is all cleaned up!
Today I have/will:-
* Check banks
* Pop to Mr T for milk only
* Take lunch and breakfast to work
* Eat breakfast before lunchtime!
* Check FPL
* Charge phone in work
* Look into which races raise their prices at the end of this month (aim is to do 12 running events this year - one done and one booked already!) so that I book those that are going up first
* Drink lots of water
* Go to appointment on way home from work to save petrol (trying to not fill up before payday although I do have money in the pot)
* Dinner from stores(?)
* Continue sorting out utility room and 2x cupboards
* Text friend re ParkRun tomorrow to check she knows about free parking
* Make list of ingredients I need to pick up tomorrow whilst in town (this will mean going straight from ParkRun to save a journey so hoping I don't look too much of a mess!)
Think that's everything for today. Don't know if I'll check in over the weekend but really hoping for a productive weekend around the house - so wish me luck!
Hope you all have a good day!Debt as at 5 June 2023 - £15,600.89
Current debt - £6,450.00
Total paid off - £9,150.89 (58% paid off)0 -
Hahahahaha
Just quickly amended Mr T order for Friday night. If nothing is substituted I will be on 249.91 for the month.:eek:
How close is that to my budget?
Gotta go and get back to work. Good luck at the dentist.

Morning Lovelies :hello:
Well done to everyone making it to Friday
Todays list:
Housework.
Try not to shout at the OH
All meals from my little cupboards.
A walk if it stops hammering down with rain :eek:
Check online banking :eek: not enough NSD this month
Checked my credit file earlier too and because I owe nothing I am listed as poor. So Experian send me an email saying to improve this I should take out a loan or more credit cards :eek::mad: I have a credit card with a limit of £11500 but owe nothing on it. No wonder we all get into debt if credit file people are saying to borrow.
Anyhow keep smiling folks :rotfl::T
Have a safe weekend.
Pace.Money scares me.:eek:
Honesty update will arrive shortly......:o0
