Make £200 last 3 weeks??

Hi, I'm just looking for a few thrifty tips and hints on how I can make £200 last me till the 11th February.
Things have got on top of me recently paying for driving lessons/test (which I failed and have rebooked) , family mediation £90 per hour, as well as the usual bits n bobs..

I am off to a wedding in Dublin on 12th February, so I've set aside money for that, plus my driving lessons.

I have £200 to last me up to I fly off to Dublin on the 11th, I Have been invited to my managers leaving do on the 30th February, then my friends 30th birthday on the 7th..
I need some help managing my small amount of funds please!?

Just don't go out between now and then...that's all there really is to it.

£200 will be more than enough to cover your food costs for the next three weeks.

Is that just for food for you, as well as the parties you have been invited out to?

Easily doable, have a look on the OS board and you'll see great examples of families surviving on this.

So £200 is to cover two nights out (drinks?meal?) and your food in between. Is that right?

Do you have any food in your freezer/fridge/cupboards?

    Hi

You need to get a grip on the actual budget.

Is the £200 what you have after everything is paid for?

Or do you have to take out the Manager's leaving do? How much?
And do you have to take out the birthday? How much?

What else has to come out of the £200? How are you getting to the airport?

Any way you can cancel the driving lessons?

So what is you actual budget when you take off any predicted spends?

Does it cover electricity, gas, phone, cleaning, light bulbs etc or not?

What do you have in the house/flat already?
What facilities do you have - cooker, freezer etc?
    Lunches?
Can you get to shops that do yellow sticker foods?
Which shops can you get to reasonably? No point recommending Aldi to me for example.

Unless he is also a good friend I would be unexpectedly ill for the managers do (unless you have to pay up front).

  • Hi RAS, £200 is for the 2 nights out and food, the odd bus day saver which is £5. The driving lessons and everything else is paid for.
I've just made a huge pot of pasta, mince chilli which should do me a few days at work and at home. I've a few bits in the freezer but not much, Im just gonna have to make huge pots of food that last a few days and not go too heavy on the drink at the parties
