Without knowing what a night out means to you it's impossible to say

You need to deduct your costs of those 2 nights out - drinks ? Meal ? Present ? Taxi home ?

Are you doing dry January ? If not would claiming to help the costs for that ?

How many £5 bus tickets do you need exactly ?

Once you've calculated that- how much is left ?

Once you have that figure work out how much is left for food and see what you have in the freezer or cupboard. Where do you usually shop for your food ?

Have you committed to the parties and do your really want to go?

They seem pricey when you don't have much money left - are they a necessary need or a want / quite like to?

If its the latter I'd be coming up with excuses now not to go and save my money for something better.

We're a family of 4 and we've got to the 21st Jan without getting close to £200 yet by planning meals, avoiding waste and eating at home.
Make a list of what you've got already and plan food from there. :)

You can easily cope with £66 per week for food and a night out!

Assuming managers leaving do is 30th Jan rather than 30th Feb? Could you just show face for one or two?

30th Feb is probably going to be a pretty cheap day. Could even do a no-spend day quite easily :p

Get as much food as possible from the YS offers. Drop brands for own brand or double dip and drop to the standard brand. It really should not be a problem. Stop the excess spending wherever it is and keep a jar with your money for the week. When it is empty stop everything.

All my monthly bills are £120 every month and I have eaten for £15 for the last couple of weeks by making good use of YS bargains. It is very achievable but seems hard if you are not used to it.
It's really easy to default to cynicism these days, since you are almost always certain to be right.
