Hi,
My 13 year old son is due to go on a school trip this year starting in Iceland and then moving on to the USA. Has anyone got any suggestions on the best way for us to give him spending money for both countries? Will get him a little cash but would like a card that will be valid in both.
Thanks!!

The GoHenry card charges 2.75% on foreign spending and £2 per foreign ATM withdrawal. A three month 'free trial' is available:

Thanks for that - I'll check it out. I should have said that he already has his own Flex One account at Nationwide with his own debit card. It is a Visa though and I've read that Visa isn't widely accepted in the US (I have no idea re Iceland).0

Just use the FlexOne.
He'll have no problems using VISA.

That'll be good as we can just add money to his account online as well.0
