I am a dog walker myself and find that most people want to know that you are fully insured and covered to take their dog out. If the person is going to be at work all day and needs to give you a key to go into their home to get the dog then they want to know they're covered if anything happens. Once they've met you once or twice you build up a trust, both with the owner and the dog, but still I wouldnt want to do it without insurance incase something went wrong, I want myself covered as much as anything. Im not registered though, no one tends to ask about that, but I am also police checked.
Look into getting insurace, its not that expensive, and then pop some posters up around and about and you should get some enquiries.0 -

What do you mean you're not registered? Not registered for what? Tax?
There isn't any 'registration' as such from a legal body or otherwise, for dog walkers. You can get NARP but it's not worth the paper really and definitley not worth the ££ they charge!
But your first post...I expect you're spamming.

Spamming? I just thought Id join and contribute as this topic interested me as I was going through the same thing not long back, didnt realise when I first replied though that it started in 2007! Sorry!0 -
Dragonfly - I've reported your username and this is why people think you're spamming

You're not allowed to have your website address etc as your username as this is seen as spamming.
I'll lock this thread as it's a wee bit on the old side now. No doubt if anyone wants to ask some questions they will start a new thread
