Is it worth paying the extra £600 for the John Lewis one. Actually the King size one from DFS is £1200 anyhow so it's an extra £400. The SCS is £1000 for double. Are SCS and DFS that bad?

Yes! Honestly, you should really look at Willow and Hall as their stuff is exactly the price point you're considering, and great quality. Check out reviews, don't take my word for it.

Advice is one thing, laziness another. Perhaps Google what's been suggested....

Most of Willow and Hall sofabed's are made by a company called Dreamworks Beds based in Wiltshire. Not sure if you want to have a google and see if they are cheaper elsewhere.

Willow and Hall has a showroom in Chiswick now but we bought sight unseen from their website and haven't regretted it for a moment.
They were originally internet-only, and don't have branches except the one showroom. Their website has all the info!

Don't forget that if you get a separate mattress topper, you will have to have somewhere to keep it when the sofa bed isn't in use. Can be quite a problem if you live in a small flat!
    :D I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe :D

You mean because you can't fold them up tightly? They need to remain opened, don't they?

If this is the case, maybe put the topper on the bed then switch it to sofa bed when want to sleep on that?

I don't know if I mentioned it but the whole purpose of getting this sofabed is because I have a one year old baby. He might play on the sofa and jump up and down etc, so I guess don't get too expensive!!
