Problem with TSB contactless?

Not really all that confusing when we consider that contactless at TSB is subject to status. I think in my case my account has been restricted and TSB have not told me about it. Since my problems with contactless started when I upgraded to Classic Plus I must conclude that the restriction applies to Classic Plus and not to Classic which doesn't have contactless cashback. It smells really bad to me.
For example, I have 2 Classic Plus accounts, but only use one of them for cashback. I keep my accounts topped up to earn maximum interest, cycle money through them once a month to meet the funding requirements and don't use them for anything other than contactless payments. I don't seem to have been "restricted".0 -
TBH, the theory which some people have suggested that fail contactless transaction is used by TSB to restrict the maximum £5 cashback does not stand. If they want to do that it is less complicated for TSB to restrict the maximum cashback the people could earn. For instance £1 instead of £5.
If they cut the maximum cashback, nobody would bother with the account.0 -
If they cut the maximum cashback, nobody would bother with the account.
I would
Also keep in mind TSB plus is already the front runner as one of the best available account in term of earning e.g. Interest, Switching Incentive, additional very good rate of RSA. So even without contactless debit card incentive people are still using TSB.

But I'm still a fan of the contactless 'conspiracy theory'.

Some of us have 6 between a couple!
I've just been resetting a couple of my pins0 -
Hi,
I spoke to my local TSB branch manager and he told me that TSB are aware of an ongoing issue with some shops refusing TSB contactless cards. He said that these shops do not recognize TSB as they were previously Lloyds-TSB and they haven't updated their software to accept TSB contactless cards. He said that any time TSB Head Office are aware of an issue they contact the store involved to try and resolve the issue. I have noticed that lots of shops still do not accept mine.0 -

I have 2 tsb accounts and in all the time the promotion has been running I've got a fiver each month on both cards and only ever needed to end the pin in once for each card at the start.0

Used my TSB card for a contactless payment in BM yesterday as usual. Tried to use it (for the first time) at the Post Office today but the screen didn't even show the contactless display, only the one asking for a PIN. Tried at adjacent counter, same thing. Staff said both readers had accepted contactless all day. Went to Poundland 20 minutes later expecting to confirm the card was ready for it's second use of PIN but it was accepted! What is going on?0
