Well done! Please be polite to OPs and remember this is a site for Claimants and Appellants to seek redress against their bank, ex-boss or retailer. If they wanted morality or the view of the IoD or Bank they'd ask them.0

Had a call from Lloyds tonight asking lots of questions and agreed they would investigate. However, they did say that if I claim then they will change my account to a classic account and I will not be able to keep the benefits of my current account with them! Can they do this?0

Yes of course they can because that is what you've asked them to do by complaining that you were missold whatever packaged (silver gold or platinum) account you are on. It would not make sense for them to refund your package account fees then keep you on the same account still paying the same fee.0 -

ROFL. You are complaining you didnt want the benefits. So, make your mind up!I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -

If you want to be certain of keeping the benefits, you'll have to withdraw your complaint. Of course, if your complaint is not successful, then your account will remain as it is.0 -
Snap! thanks to MSE, I too filled in form and emailed it beginning of January..within a week I had response telling me Lloyds were refunding my Platinum charges from last 5 years plus interest. checked my account and lo & behold, nice tidy coupla grand. I had changed my account from Platinum to Classic @ July last year because I realised (took me long enough) I wasn't getting any benefit by keeping it as I had a company car & 'phone. Have now opened a Classic Plus account which pays 5% and no account charges!! thanks to MSE..again!0

this neatly sums up what is wrong with so many of these claims.
"I want all my money back, I was illegally mis-sold this account!!
"wait, you're telling me I cant have all my money back AND keep the phone/travel insurance that I apparently never asked for/wanted in the first place"0
