Well Costco plan didn't happen as my friend is away so I got the party food booklet from Morrisons which is my corner shop - I was going to order from there when dd phoned and said she and ds will make the food - so will just get cheese, cold meat and throw some salads together.
I've not stopped all week. The doors I'd started painting before I broke my arm are now painted - I've surprised myself with mainly my left arm, the fairly garden is finished and the rest of the garden is good enough - there's still things to do but it's passable and can be done a little area at a time. I've really enjoyed doing things - it's taken me longer than before and I've had to call dh to help me but with extra painkillers I've done it!!!128077; Just want dh to put curtains, mirror and pictures up that I bought a year ago.
I need a maga tidy up each evening after work so that ready for Thursday when dd and girlies arrive but the end is in sight. I'll be so ready for breaking up on Friday - we must be the last borough to break up....just short of 5 weeks off.January spends - £587.580 -
Sounds like you have been a busy bee, glad you got through it with your arm. In a park on Friday we met children from the other side of Manchester who were in school another week, so I am guessing that's your area. It will be here before you know it.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Feeling quite smug really as I honestly didn't think I'd be able to do it - but a rubber glove over my splint and long sleeved jumper to keep me clean - lots of breaks and even more painkillers - plus a bit of bl@@dy mindedness thrown in for good measure got me through. And the big bonus is I won't be spending the first week of the holidays doing it:T
I'm having my hair cut tomorrow - it's grown all at once and it driving me mad.
I'm looking forward to weekend - will cost a fortune but it's only your ruby wedding once :beer:January spends - £587.580 -

Disappointed that hair cut didn't happen - the lady who does it is a hairdresser that lives facing and she waited for me to go to work this morning and came out to tell me she was poorly - she didn't look good - so now I'm faced with the dilemma of waiting for her or going elsewhere.....I want it cutting before Thursday.
Just paid some off my cc - as expected I couldn't manage to pay it all after dhs pressie being ready earlier than I expected but it'll be sorted in the next month or so.
What a palaver trying to buy a pre payment prescription certificate. My old one ran out last week and I've tried to get on the website t buy one several times but the site has been down so I phoned and it was automated and wouldn't recognise when I was pressing the numbers it asked on my mobile, it put me through to an operator who went so far then had to send me to pay to a different site that i needed to press numbers - I told him I wasn't impressed with the service and the website was down - he checked said it was up and running again and suggested i do it there - I did and it wasn't.........grrrrrr so I ended up using the house phone which it accepted but it took 45 minutes of my time and i needed some medical supplies so had to do it. At least I don't ever need to do that again as when I turn 60 in September I'll get them free.

annnnd breathe
it's been a mad mad week. I had my hair cut at the bargainous price of a tenner by the daughter of someone I work with. Finished painting my doors and shelving - I'm quite impressed how I'm becoming ambidextrous - used mainly my left hand. Done lots of shopping for a do we had yesterday. Had daughter and grandkids over since Thursday so had to put camp beds etc up and then her hubby followed at weekend. Had 30 people here for a bit of a do yesterday - kids helped me (actually did. most of it) with the catering and was still working until Friday. So today I've had a lazy eating leftovers and drinking wine sort of day - :rotfl::rotfl: after I'd cleared the whirlwind a 4 year old and 18 month old leave behind. I'll fold beds away tomorrow. But we had a lovely few days.......and all that with 2 broken toes. My ankle went on me in the staff room at work I only walked about 4 steps when it gave...and I think I must have tried to save my arm - went completely down - my specs and cup of coffee I was holding flew across the room and when I got myself up my toes had a corner in them that shouldn't have been there:eek::eek:. I pushed them back and strapped them up - they wanted to send me to a&e but that's all theyd have done. So I've got lovely purple feet and ankle:cool:
I darent even talk about money - it'll even itself out again in time.
I've got my hospital appointments for September which is a pain in 1 respect as I'll have to have time off work but at least I can enjoy the holidays without wondering if they're going to send for me on a day I've planned something.
So tomorrow is the first day of the holidays and I'm quite chuffed I won't have to spend it all cleaning and decluttering as I've done it already :A:TJanuary spends - £587.580
