My DS1 has been learning Spanish on duo lingo for 593 days, which I'm very impressed by as he's usually not good at sticking at things

Next door has re sent us the photos of the proposed kitchen/utility room - no idea why they didn’t arrive previously when he sent them. It has brought the ideas we had to life. It feels much smaller than I expected - which i suppose it is. This was before we had the idea to knock the dining room wall down - it’ll all depend on costs when the builder comes out.....whenever that might be, as to which we go for. Wish we could afford to move to a nice big bungalow.😏
Today has been a long day at work. I’ve had the class most of the day whilst the teacher has been in meetings, we haven’t done anything too taxing though. We watched a film, went into the forest school area and sketched and did some mindfulness work. I can’t wait for my usual characterful charges to return although I’m not sure how they’ll cope with the changes that will need to take place in September.....it could be interesting to say the least - a lot of their favourite things they have as rewards wont be available 😲 Whilst I was in the forest school area there were lots of seed heads and grass in seed - so I’ve taken some for the wildflower garden at relatives which has some bare areas. I’ve only taken a few leaving plenty to reseed the school wildflower garden next year. I do like free seeds. In return I’ve taken an ornamental owl which I’ll never use in for the reception class garden. My hip has really flared up again and I can’t say I’ve done anything differently - the only thing I can think of is standing in the kitchen cooking as dh is back at work so I’ve resumed my usual kitchen duties. I hope the appointment for the injection comes through soon. I had a phone call a couple of weeks ago saying they would be in touch as they had started taking patients again.
A NSD again. This virus has certainly curtailed my shopping trips saving me a far bit of cash 😀January spends - £587.581 -
My hip is playing up too.
Can hardly hobble

Not much to report today. Same old...same old
A NSD 😀👍
1 1/2 days to go 😀👏 Suddenly there’s a lot to do in that time before we break up 😳😳
A parent brought us all a home made curry and bits today. Individual packs for all the staff at dinner time- only problem was it must have taken longer to prep than anticipated as most staff had finished dinner time by the time they arrived with the food😂😂 but it was a lovely thought. I brought mine home as I’m not a curry lover and I’d eaten my dinner already. Dh enjoyed it for his tea and I had a jacket with beans and cheese.January spends - £587.581 -
It is usually the right one because that is the leg that is normally shorter than the left one. I was told by someone who knew 55 years ago that I should wear a lift in my right shoe. Now who at 19 is seriously going to do that? I certainly didn't. Wish I had though. To blazes with boyfriends, mobility is much more important.milann said:Wonder if we’ve got a good pair between us Beanie - mines my right one.....feel about 90😳😂😳😂😳Hope you’re doing ok 🤞

It certainly is Bad Memory but like you say who listens when their 19. I know I didn’t listen - went ice skating with a new boyfriend (now my dh😉) went down on the ice cracked a bone in my back and ended having trouble for a good while......even though I KNEW I shouldn’t have taken the risk of skating in ice with a condition I have......but I’m in my 60s now and still don’t listen 🤫🤫 - I been standing on worktops at work today putting wall displays up ( yes it’s against H&S) The teacher I work with would not have been impressed had he spotted me.......
3.75 hours of work until I break up for 5 weeks 😀😀😀 I’ve been trying to scrat around looking for jobs to do some days during ‘bubble school’ but I’ve got SO much I need to get through tomorrow morning......the teacher suddenly decided to revamp the classroom - I could have been doing it a bit at a time over the last few weeks.....I do like a deadline though 🤪🤪😂 Ah well if it’s not done he’ll go in during the holibobs but I’d like to get as much done as I can for him 👍January spends - £587.581 -
Happy holibobs

I got the majority of things done this morning- I quite enjoyed myself backing boards and starting displays off, they’ll need the children’s work to finish them off. I haven’t done much of that sort of thing since my last job - I’m purely with the children usually in this school. We’d run out of laminating pouches so there’s just a couple of things he will have to finish in September.
I went into town afterwards - my first visit since lockdown. I went into the big Mr T over to The Range and then to Dunelm. I bought a wipeable table cloth for when the gks come to stay. The last lot of felt pens didn’t wipe off 😲 it felt quite nice to be pottering again but it quite warm under the mask. I bought a pack of masks and some bits of food. I also bought a Lego set reduced from £24 to £18 as a Christmas present for eldest gdd. Then I thought I’d go for a panini and coffee. My usual haunts weren’t open so I went back to Mr T (I’d parked in there) I was just going to order and she wanted my contact details - I’d completely forgotten about that aspect of things.....so I didn’t bother. The cafe was empty but if somebody tested positive and had visited there I didn’t want to have to isolate 2 weeks for the sake of a toasted sandwich. I bought some reduced smoked salmon instead and came home for a delicious cream cheese, salmon and cucumber wrap 😋 cheaper and nicer that what I’d have bought and less risk of having to isolate. If I go for a proper meal out I might take the chance but not just for a sandwich and coffee. So it must be one of the spendiest days I’ve had in a good while £50 spent.January spends - £587.581 -
Happy holidays
