Wonderful day.....

....my son said he'd had a 'wonderful day' yesterday as he'd got two huge Lego kits for £10.

He's 27......

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton

  • Seriously, Beatties in Wolverhampton is closing it's toys department and there are apparently big bargains to be had.

    Good luck!

If your 27 year old son is into lego rather than booze, drugs and wasting money, then I take my hat off to you! Even if he is 27!! :T

The fact that he can find enjoyment in the little things in life (scuse the pun! ) is great!! Hopefully he can one day pass that ability onto his kids!

My Oh is thrilled that we are getting a scaletric kit for the little ones. I wonder if they will ever get a chance to play it?

My colleague gets his Lego purchases off Ebay delivered to work. He is 28 and spends a lot on Lego trains and Star Wars lego. I think he plans to have a Lego train running round the downstairs of his house!

I am sure that will impress all the ladies!

  • My son had a 'perfect day' last week when I took him to the Maize Maze just outside Bath.

Up to our knees in mud - running through the maze - a long stick with a flag on the end ... he paused mid-maze, gave a deep sigh and looked at me and said "even the sun is shining .. this is my perfect day"!!!!!!

Ahhhhhhh - let's hope he remains so easy to please!!!!!!:D

(He's still only 8, by the way!!!)

Haha, that sounds just like my partner - he's 28 and can't go past the Lego store without popping in. I think his child-like enthusiasm for everything just makes me love him more though :D
    August grocery challenge:
    budget £140
    spent so far: £51.34

    Total debt at LBM: £4120
    Current debt: £3622

Proud to be dealing with my debts!
  • Hey thanks, you've all made me laugh, I thought it was just my son who loved these things!

Pulliptears, he would LOVE an Atat - he had one when he was little and is always blaming me for giving it away!
