The original reason for fog lights was to give close up visibility whilst eliminating the dazzling back scatter caused by dipped headlamps. You used either dipped headlamps or fog lights depending on the density of the fog. Whoever came up with your design seems to have missed that point.0 -
For some reason when an oncoming car has fog lights on my full beam automatically goes on...:huh:0

It's entirely possible they do also work on sidelights...The original reason for fog lights was to give close up visibility whilst eliminating the dazzling back scatter caused by dipped headlamps. I do expect a post then before long seeking a claim for an accident that was not your fault, Two wrongs do not make a right you know and as infuriating as it may be when other drivers do not have either common sense or the courtesy to drive safely it is part and parcel of todays very selfish nature I am afraid.0 -
Fuse first?
Check Bulbs ?
Check Switch ?
head lights on; rear fog on then switch the front fog lights on; now if they don't light up? pursue one of the firs three suggestions . PS; are the spot's connected? may need to check!0 -
And then if no joy with the above suggestions - check for a bad earth at the fogs lights.
Good luck.0 -
It's most likely to be power supply, if the switch isn't illuminating the dash light - that'll be on the "inside" of the relay which'll be feeding the lights themselves.
Mind you, having said that, it's new enough to be multiplexed, so it might just be that the computer's forgotten it's got the damn things...0 -

Always a possibility that there's not actually any wiring between the switch and the bumper, absolutely.BeenThroughItAll wrote: »Or, it's been 'Darkmattered' at some point and had a fog-light bumper put on, and the computer's never been told...0
