The BT to Plusnet shuffle

Whereas my preference would be to stay with BT, the figures would support a considerable saving in moving to Plusnet. Presumably, in 18 months' time I would be compelled to move back to BT subject to the offers being equivalent from both companies. Is there any error in my calculation?

You need to calculate the savings over 18m with PN, not 6, since that's what you'll be contracted to. No one can predict what might be on offer 18m ahead, and PN will always cut you a retention deal once out of minimum term.No free lunch, and no free laptop

Thank you. Of course with all of the dynamics in pricing and differences in contracting periods such a calculation is difficult. The 18 months saving looks like £174.73 over the 18 month term which equates to £9.70 per month. I think that the incentive is worth the risk and inconvenience of moving. Unless anyone can advise otherwise.I have osteoarthritis in my hands so I speak my messages into a microphone using Dragon. Some people make "typos" but I often make "speakos".0
