Manic Monday - Kitchen and Dining Room
Clean floors
Clear and wipe kitchen surfaces
Clean cupboard door fronts and the kick boards
Wipe dining table
Clean oven - because I know it wasn't on the list last week

Extra Mission
Wipe out the fridge, make sure the drain is clear
Wipe over little appliances, wipe under them before putting them back
Clean dishwasher, cooker hood (if washable) and tumble drier filters
Wipe window sills, clean any marks off windows if required
Wipe the front of large appliances

Morning all. Thanks for the list Natty, I'm in again but not sure how much I'll achieve this morning other than some dailies as I've another early start at the paid stuff.

I'm in, thanks for the list natty , and thanks for last week Bossy .

Long day at paid stuff today, but I will try to do:

Dailies
Sort fridge
Check car has antifreeze
HHI and wash ironing board cover
Clean oven
Clean kitchen window

Dizzy , I second what other people say, have a good cry and talk to your OH.
All this upheaval is bound to get on top of you, sometimes it helps just to release the tension.

Have a good Monday people, off to wake the littlies up as they are still snoring. Why do they wake at six on a weekend and have a lie in on Monday morning?

I am in, not sure what today brings. DS1 wants me to take him to Argos this afternoon, nearly a 50 mile round trip, which I could do without. We will see.

I am needing to rejoin this thread after a long absence, please be gentle whilst I get back in the swing of things.
I am now off to the kitchen with list in hand to get started, I may be some time.

Clean floors
Level Two
Clear and wipe kitchen surfaces
Clean cupboard door fronts and the kick boards
Sort fridge bringing what needs using soon to the front
Wipe dining table (clean table cloth if necessary)
Check your car is topped up with anti-freeze, radiator water, oil,petrol. Check your tyre pressure too, if your car is being used during the freezing weather.
Level Three
Sort the utensils.. half melted spatulas are not necessary!
HHI.. then wash the ironing board cover!
Dust any extra furniture in dining room, checking for cobwebs on way round
Wash the washer drawer out if it's gunky
Clean oven - because I know it wasn't on the list last week
Check you have essentials in the car, if you are driving, i.e. chocolate, flask, torch, warm blanket and charged up mobile phone. We don't want you to get stuck in the snow.

Extra Mission
Choose one or more of:

• Clear front path of snow
• Check on any neighbours to see they are okay during this cold spell
• Wipe out the fridge, make sure the drain is clear
• Wipe over little appliances, wipe under them before putting them back
• Clean dishwasher, cooker hood (if washable) and tumble drier filters
• Wipe window sills, clean any marks off windows if required
• Wipe the front of large appliances

They are absolutely no bother at all speak barely a word of English amongst them, house of 5 or 6 men.. so you can imagine!! We barely hear a peep from them.. until vodka night!! Then they sing until all hours.. One Christmas they were sitting on an upstairs window sill singing Polish Christmas Carols at 4am!!.. It was rather sweet, but also sad because their families aren't here.


Everyone out in record time today and Pixie snaffling weeto's.. she's already had a jam sandwich.. the girls have one most days on the way to school.. it is incentive to get ready.. if they waste time they don't get a sandwich or fruit.. depends what I've got in.

Delegating vacuuming upstairs to DS3 .. How the heck do you motivation a depressed 16 year old to do anything??? I cant even get him dressed!!


Finishing off some bunnies is on the list for today too.. I have 4 needing eyes and tails and one that is flat, like knitted roadkill.

In this week, started with you last year but didn't have time to clean - actually I decided it was pointless to clean as I was sanding walls (HS&L) to paper, then sanding & painting floors in HS&L, living room, and dining room.. got it all done before crimbo... but I forgot to start cleaning again :rotfl:
