Posting here to raise awareness. If like me you're a FD customer (credit or debit card) and are generally happy to shop at either Aldi or Lidl, it might be worth noting that FD has partnered with Lidl amongst other retailers as part of a cashback club.

£10 off £40 with FD or HSBC - I think the current offer's just expired though. It may return.

The latest is £5 off £40, until 29th Sept. Still no good for me though, as I spend a relatively small sum on groceries.

Haven't got that one on any of my accounts - they must be account specific. I did use the earlier ones, though, so it could be that.

I got the £10 off a £40 spend at Lidl using my FD debit card, it was a few weeks ago though.

Ive registered my HSBC debit card and have this offer. How does it work ? Does HSBC automatically credit my account with £10 if I spend over £40 ?

Exactly that. And you can buy whatever you want, including alcohol, because HSBC see only the total spent.

Santander do something similar in giving cashback on shopping.

You have to use the registered card.

They what they do it is to credit my account once a month with all the discounts I have earned over a monthly period. So can be up to a month until you see the money.

One word of advise, always keep your receipt(s) safe until you are credited the cashback into your account, as you may need it as proof if have to argue with HSBC for the cashback.
