If I've posted in the wrong place please advise me where to move this. My ex husband announced yesterday that he is going to move his fianc! and her 16 yr old daughter in to live with him. Her daughter attends school full time. Is anyone please Able to please clarify how this will affect me. His gross monthly pay is £3000, he has an occupation based pension which is automatically deducted from his pay. We have 2 school age daughters I currently receive maintenance for.
Am I correct in thinking I have to reduce his gross salary by 11% to the. Work out my 16%?
Many thanks in advance 😃

Probably is the wrong place there is a csa forum, anyways assuming you are on csa then you recieve up to 20% net for the 2 children, after the father takes on other responsibilities then that will drop 15% of that 20% figure, so basically whatever you are recieiving now, reduce that by about 1/6 or 1/7 and you are not far off.
That's assuming he follows that line, he may just continue as he is contributing what he does.0 -
The figures in the original post look like CMO's figures. i.e reduction of 11% for having one child living with paying parent and 16% of that to pay for two children.:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

Looking at it, it doesn't really show that, it states
"
If the paying parent’s gross weekly income is between £200 and £3,000 and they pay child maintenance for other children, this is taken into account when working out how much they should pay.
The Child Maintenance Service simply reduces the amount of weekly income that it takes into account. For example, if the paying parent is paying for:- One other child – their weekly income will be reduced by 11%
- Two other children – their weekly income will be reduced by 14%
- Three or more other children – their weekly income will be reduced by 16%"

Thank you for your comments. The CSA are not involved.
He currently pays me 20% of his salary for our two daughters. the way I read it, his salary that I can claim maintenance from would be reduced by 11% before I can then claim my 20%.0 -

Well yes ,just the numbers are different on the different schemes,
CSA 15/20/25% net for 1/2/3 or more dependants. reduced by 15/20/25% net for 1/2/3or more dependants living with the NRP.
CMS 12/15/19% gross for 1/2/3 or more dependants reduced by 11% for 1 dependant living with the NRP.0
