Retention / upgrade previously t mobile

Options
Hi
My contract is due for an upgrade now. I'm on the t mobile 250 plan with unlimited texts, Internet and 250 minutes. Has anyone been offered a retention deal if so what did you get offered. I'm currently paying £22-23 including vat. Or if you did upgrade what did you get offered. I'm after a cheaper deal but need unlimited internet as use apps and Twitter a lot. :)

Doesn't sound that great a deal , obviously part of your fee is paying for a handset, don't think the networks are going to roll over and have their tummy tickled for your custom, last of the big spenders n all that.
  • Can you not go sim only as an upgrade ? I thought. That might be cheaper than forking out for a handset ?

It varies on individual wants, I always go for sim only and buy the handset outright, but it depends on the required handset and airtime required, some deals are cheapest.
For me I like to see low monthly bills so prefer to fork out for the desired handset, then if circumstances change in the 2 months I don't have to start a thread on here pleading poverty to the networks.

If you have net the minimum requirement on the agreement and happy with the handset, then you could just switch to sim only and save a good £10 or more per month.
  • When my t mobile tarrif ends & if I don't want to upgrade as not worth it. Will I continue to pay my bill as normal on my existing tarrif. When will I asked to switch over to 4g? Will I be forced to do this or can I refuse as 3G meets my current and future needs based on what I'm using on existing tarrif and price.

I assume BT will have more to offer than EE its a giant compared to EE and together its mammoth. Hold tight rolling month to month.
SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe ;)

Do you actually need 'unlimited' data? How much do you use every month? You could get a much cheaper tariff if you knew exactly how much you used every month.
  • Yes , I asked about average use age per month. My data works out 17GB a month. Need tethering as use phone as a wifi hotspot. Not many decent price deals around.
