BT Broadband & calls Contract

I have haggled with BT and got a small reduction in costs provided I took out another 12 month contract which I have done but because BT threatened me with charges for breaking my current contract with 7 months to go
but I now have found a cheaper option so my question is
can I use the 14 day cooling off period to cancel and not incur any charges as this is a new contract any advice would be greatly appreciated
Thank you

It's not a new contract, but a contact extension. No cooling off period on that.
However if you are still in min term you will be charged an ETC if you leave whether you have 7m or 12m still to run?
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
  • Thanks for the info and I will take on board your advice,
