Savvy Shopper! I've been Money Tipped!
Princess - I don't think it's a ridiculous amount to spend on such an important life event. We all work hard and it is ok to spend money you've saved up on things other than paying off the mortgage early etc. I know how you feel about not ever buying anything in town for yourself. Or feeling bad if you do. I'm exactly the same. But end of the day if we are doing all the right things to get our situations straight again the odd treat isn't going to hurt. We need to remember that. And as Foxgloves says be kind to ourselves.

  • Hi all,

Hope you have all had a great weekend :)

I have been up and down over the past two days but mostly up :)

Saturday I was working so that was a NSD.
I also made the first of my £100 payments to the CC (used to be £50 but upped it - the minimum payment was usually around £33)
I've also applied to Barclay for an interest free balance transfer - generally how long do they take to get back to you? Does anyone know?
Today I have been really stressed out, just a number of things getting to me today so I'm just relaxing tonight, going to go in for a bath, maybe go for a run first (been snowing here so I more than likely won't) then sit and remember that everything passes in time so not to worry :)

Feel as if I have achieved nothing today, as I have spent a lot of the day sitting down in the living room, mainly sorting things out on the computer (banking, meter readings etc) I have been trying to get my head round the lesson plans for the new Maths curriculum I am planning to start using with ds. I was hoping to start tomorrow, but depending which track he is using (standard, express or academic), which questions he needs to answer and the others are only used if more support/practice is needed. I need to find some space and time so I can lay everything out at once and make some notes.
