Red ruby - the filling should be all the way round. It's best to get a duvet with pockets rather than channels of filling. With channels the filling moves away and ends up lumped, pockets keep the filling in place and evenly distributed.

Thanks for the advice hun, it has got pockets but each pocket has a lump of down in the middle and nothing round the edge ( a bit like a ravioli !!) I seem to think each pocket should have an even amount of down and to be almost full with it ?? I think im going to have to send it back it cost such a lot and I am not completely happy with it.

    Have good evenings all xx

Very cold here but still no snow !!
  • REDRUBY you might try giving the down duvet a good old shake as sometimes the down clumps together and forms a solid lump in the corner of a pocket, happens in storage particularly if it's been vacuum packed. Get hold of two corners each and shake it really hard which should loosen the clump of feathers and spread the down evenly across the pocket. It works by trapping air in between the feathers to keep you toasty warm. Worth a try before you send it back? Might need shaking every time you change the quilt cover just to keep the feathers separate.
