Glasgow address on credit file

An address in Glasgow frequently appears on my linked addresses. It appears linked to at least accounts, one of which is an old account. O2 refuse to remove it as they say its 'correct'. Lloyd have agreed to remove it as I am a customer with them now. They can't explain why the address is even there.
Has anyone had any experience of this? why is it happening? I have kicked off with O2 and am about to call their fraud line.

Was it o2 that placed the address link in the first place?

Noddle / Call Credit there should be a 'report' button available next to the relevant section of your credit report.I'm a Board Guide on the Credit Cards, Loans, Credit Files & Ratings boards. Thanks - I've actually done all this. Most of the company's linked won't do anything unless I contact them myself. Lloyds are sorting it but O2 just tell me its correct!! As if I don't know where I've lived.... they say that because its linked to 2 other companies, they won't remove it.
Experian can't do anything unless the company agrees to remove it, as they own the data.
Its turning out to be more hassle than its worth.0 -
Hi
If you want to take this further and O2 refuse to correct your credit file you can complain to the Financial Ombudsman Service and Information Commissioner’s Office.
You could make a Subject Access request to O2 to see what information they hold on file for you and why they’re saying the Glasgow address is correct. They can charge you £10 to comply but it could help you resolve your dispute.
