Hi Guys
I recently won some curtains and a large curtain pole on ebay. However the seller is having trouble posting the curtain pole. She says she has tried the post office, DHL and mail boxes but they wont take them. The curtain pole is 180 cm. I imagine it splits into two so the package will be 100cm at a guess.
Any ideas who would take it?
Thanks in advance.

Myhermes accept parcels up to 120cm (and 15 kilos weight).

Parcelforce should take it, even at full length.0 -
Maximum size for Myhermes is 120cm. Don't know about other couriers. Just used MH yesterday and my parcel was 100 cm long.0

Thanks for your replies. The seller has just told me the pole can not come apart so it is 2m long!0

Parcelforce 48 large services is upto 3m in length, although £22 + VAT, unless you can find a discount code.
Interparcel with UPS may work out cheaper, although make sure the item is photographed with the mesaurement taken & the UPS Label attached, as we have been surcharged £80 each on our last 3 parcel with Interparcel/UPS, as they've stated there over the stated length of 2m0 -
The page I looked at said 1.5m (Parcelforce but through RM), but looked it up again and found this:
http://www.parcelforce.com/help-and-advice/sending/size-and-weight-limits-parcels
Size and Weight Limits for Parcels
For sending within the UK you can send parcels up to 30kg. There is no maximum weight for a multiple consignment; however each individual parcel must not exceed 30kg.
Weight limits vary for international destinations. Please visit our worldwide directory to find weight limits for all of our international destinations.
The maximum size limits for sending items within the UK are as follows:
Maximum length: 1.5 metres
Maximum combined length and girth: 3 metres
Our express48large service allows for the following size restrictions:
Maximum parcel length 2.5m and 5m maximum length and girth combined.
So you may be ok with that.0 -
Make sure your seller is footing the bill for the service if it's more expensive that they advertised - it's not your problem they didn't properly research delivery before listing.0

Thanks everyone. I think she has given up. She says she is sending me a refund!0

Hi,
if it's a wooden pole it could be cut in half and then rejoined using a wood to wood dowelling screw,
then position central support brackets.0
