  • Thanks everyone. :) I am really hopeful about the handyman and yes, good idea, I might be able to find a plumber through him. :)

Today will be my 3rd NSD since Sunday. :) I have no chocolate, but I’ll just have to deal with it. I’m out tomorrow but I would like to have a NSD tomorrow too, so hoping there will be chocolate on the treats table at work

After a year without a passport (the longest I’ve been without since I was 18) I completed my passport application form today. Can’t wait for the new one to arrive :)

Very stressful at work… When its like this I harbour escape plans…:(

Made humous and added half a jar of sweet red peppers in oil. Came out super lovely

Feeling low. I think its post holiday blues. Cornwall is so very beautiful and in comparison where I live looks so ugly. I thought I was a city girl but the sea and fresh air and lovely walks suit me so well too. Anyway, zumba tonight. Uplifting music and dancing can only help.

At the station 2 hours before my working day began :o

I didn’t manage a NSD. I notice when I leave early I don’t eat breakfast and that leaves me vulnerable to venturing into supermarkets. For tomorrow I’ve packed yogurt and seeds

Spent on my work team treat table as when I opened my Cornish treats they were all broken and non presentable. :(

Took train straight home with no detours although I wanted a bottle of wine and some crisps. :T

I spent £11.55, that included coffee for £6.50!!!! I must have had low blood sugar as I had coffee at home purchased for £3. Then I spent £2 on cheese and yes, you guessed it I have cheese at home. Not a good shopping day

So much of my money is spent on just moving. Fares are so expensive. So, going to try buses again 2 days a week and a more expensive 1 day travel pass (which I’ll use when I am meeting people in town). In total I will save £10 a week minimum. :money:

If I meet people somewhere that isn’t local I’ll take a 1/2 day and work 9-12.30 then I’ll use my travel pass for the rest of the day :money:

The new travel arrangement will save me time. I’ll stop going into town on my non working days as it wastes money and travel time. I’m thinking the 2 non working days I have I will use to stay local. I don’t want to accept any invitations over those 2 days that I can’t walk or cycle to. That will up my activity levels too. :T

    3 good things

Lady in Waitr0se gave me a free coffee when I couldn’t find my card :)

The train came on time and I got a seat all the way home :)

Lovely parcel from artist friend and a letter agreeing to make me a piece in Spring 2017. Planning on the spare room being painted by then so I can hang the piece :)

I hope you had a good day too

  • I bought tile today for three rooms and a small hall. I'm absolutely freaked out! I loved the sample, even when I went back after I had paid to order it and still loved it. But loving a small sample and loving three rooms of it may be two different things.:eek::eek:
My floor guy comes Monday to begin taking up the old tile and getting the floor ready to lay it when the tile comes in. It's 13"x20" and I'll have him lay it in a brick pattern with very small grout lines. Scared silly it's too dark.:eek::eek:

A good day at work today :)

A low spend day for me. I left with a £10 note in my purse and it is still there.

There were no super reductions in Waitr0se so I didn’t buy anything. I didn’t even get a paper as I would have needed a £10 spend to get it for free. I sat and had a free coffee and read other people’s throw-away bits of their paper. I’m happy to read my paper online these days :money:

An orange 34p a packet of gluten free biscuits reduced to 60p :)

Ate a good breakfast before I left for work. Took in homemade soup for lunch. Cheap supper of tinned fish, sweet potato chips and edamame beans :T

A NSD tomorrow as staying close to home.

Looking forward to Monday when my debt falls into the 16,000s

    Happy Saturday people :)

Thanks Mila. £16,000s is still huge but it's getting less huge all the time. Good luck for the floor tiles on Monday :)

Sometimes I get a weekly shop out of habit. Looking through the fridge/freezer/cupboards I can see I have enough food for another full week, so I will not be shopping for food this week at all. There isn’t quite enough for breakfasts but I’ll have an early lunch on those days. Should be fine. There isn’t fruit everyday but there is veg so again that is fine. I’ll save the money and shop next Saturday instead

    5 breakfasts

    Yoghurt/kiwi/orange/seeds
1 egg, feta, mushrooms and spicy red sauce
    Apple, orange, kiwi
Baked beans, mushrooms, egg and halloumi
    Grapefruit and coffee

2 days there is no breakfast

    7 lunches

Chicken, lentil, red bean and spinach soup
Lentil, spinach and adzuki bean soup

Possible one day without lunch

    7 main meals

    Spicy quinoa, mackerel and edamame
Chiili con carne, broccoli and spicy quinoa
Halloumi, roasted veggies and buckwheat tomato pasta
Tuna steak, boiled egg, asparagus and sweet potato chips
Spicy buckwheat pasta with spinach, anchovies and clams
Spicy quinoa, roasted veggies, a boiled egg and black sesame seeds
Butter beans and spinach on spicy quinoa

Eat well, live well, MSE folk :)

Well done on getting to the 16's DIA.

I get the same as you with the stress induced wander lust. Feeling it a lot these days! I have a huge camper fan life fantasy going on most days in my head!

Well done on your food shopping forward planning. A whole week's grocery budget saved and a chance to empty the cupboards for fresh items next week.
