Want to upgrade to sky fibre

Hi all

Does anyone have any advice on how to get the best upgrade deal on Sky Fibre

We have unlimited Sky broadband but are in a deal until November. Ideally looking to upgrade cheaper than they currently offer it (£20 per month)

Thanks

You don't have any real bargaining power..

That's really NOT a substitute for fibre broadband and is NOT recommended (even if your bank details are not on your computer)..

Have you checked the Offers page on My Sky? They are doing a half price deal on Fibre products for 12 months (£10 instead of £20). The offer may not be available to you if you are already on an offer and in contract though, but worth a check.

Edit: Not sure if the £20 you are quoting includes line rental or not. If it does, then the offer will mean you are paying more (its £10 plus line rental) in which case this reply is no help to you....
  • If you call the broadband retention department and speak with them then you could push for an upgrade easily. Make sure it's the broadband retention team and not full or TV cancellations though.

You are currently still able to cancel due to the rise in December as the cut off was extended until the end of January.

They should be able to get you set up with unlimited fibre at £10 for 12 months and a 12 month contract. They should also be able to waive the activation fee if you ask nicely.

Fibre is not that fast? Download a GB in under 2 minutes? A whole 1 hour show off iplayer etc in approx 1 minute?

If you have ever been on a 28k dialup connection then you know what slow is.
