    Please bear in mind that I have worn these Converse so I can't take them back and get a refund easily.

    Schuh have said to me that the size is correct and because I have worn them, I can't get a refund or exchange.

    I don't know what else to do :(

    As was stated in Post 4, you have no rights. Any rights lie with the person who purchased the trainers.
    If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales

    Depends where you wore them and whether they show any sign of wear. Schuh's returns policy is quite generous so long as the shoes are returned in "as new" condition.
