Converse - Sizing Isseu

Hello everyone - I wanted to see if anyone could help me and let me know if I have a case against Schuh/Converse? Please see the complaint email I sent to Schuh. Thank you
Dear Sir/Madam
I own 8 pairs of Converse, each one of them is a UK7. I received a pair of the above item as a Christmas gift from a family member. This would be my 9th pair of Converse - they are also a UK7.
I tried the Converse on whilst indoors and thought they were slightly too small. I thought that they might need to be worn in a little to loosen up. I decided to wear them out for 1 day assuming they would loosen up. This didn’t happen – instead I developed blisters on my toes and my heels. Safe to say, I knew then that these Converse were absolutely not a UK7.
I couldn’t work out why these new UK7 Converse were much smaller than my 8 other UK7 Converse until I looked at the sizing label on the inside of the trainer.
All my other Converse show that they are a UK7 and EUR41 but the new Converse show UK7 and EUR40. These Converse were bought for me as a UK7 because all my other Converse fit me based on UK7 and EUR41. The new ones don’t fit me because they are a UK7 and EUR40. As the EUR size is smaller, why isn’t the UK size?
I buy my products based on UK sizing (like the majority of people) and would not check the EUR sizing, especially if it’s the same brand.
Who does the fault lay with? Schuh? Converse? This is completely acceptable. Your website even states that a UK7 should be a EUR41 (see image below/attached). False advertising? Misleading advertising? Not fit for purpose? Item not as described?
I now have a pair of unwearable Converse due to them being too small. All I want are these Converse in my size, a UK7 – does that mean that a UK8 should have been purchased instead? Doesn’t make any sense.
Regards
Lewis
I can't insert the sizing guide but you can view it here > schuh.co.uk/mens/converse-chuck-taylor-all-star-ii-ox-white-trainers/3401701070/ by clicking Size guide.

Your email may have been a bit too aggressive/strayed too far from the facts.
I think you probably do have a case, but the best tactic may be to give them a call/send a polite e-mail, explain the situation, and ask nicely for them to send you the shoes in a larger size.0 -
That's a bit long for a complaint.0

Well whoever bought them has rights if they have been mis-sold not you. And their rights would be with Schuh. Looking at this chart there is an overlap with sizes.

Were they bought from Schuh ? Does your relative have the receipt ? Could they be fakes ?0
-
Could they be a ladies 7 as opposed to a mens 7?
Schuh have a very good returns policy, have you actually tried taking them in for an exchange?
Edit:
Ok, yes, as I thought. looking at that chart
Ladies 7 39-40
Mens 7 40-41
It looks like your gift giver bought shoes for a different gender than your other 8 pairs, not really Schuh's fault.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
TBH I have given up using UK sizes and now always buy on EU sizing seems much moire accurate!0

The EU sizing tends to go a bit off around the size 7 mark unfortunately!! Up till then it's very consistent. So as a lady with size 7 feet I've lost count of the amount of times I've tried on a supposed uk7 only to find it's an EU 40 which is actually a uk6! Some shops call a woman's uk7 an EU40, some call it EU41.....as you've found out it should be a 41! I'm not sure why there's any confusion between mens and womens as a uk7 is a uk7 be it male or female, the gents is just wider fitting.0

Actually a size 39 is a UK 6 although most shops show it as a EU40 because it's actually a 6 and a half. A UK 7 is 99.99% of the time an EU41. In 25 years of menswear retail I have never seen a EU40 supplied as a UK 41 for men.0

The sizes progress in 3/4 increments
39 6
40 6 3/4
41 7 1/2
42 8 1/4
43 9
Hence the issue around 40/41 sizes0
