Ford Kuga or Nissan Qashqui

Hi all,
looking to get a new car in the next couple of months and these two models are on the short list. Does anybody have experience of either? Would welcome any feedback at all...
Thanks
Having a number of friends who work at Nissan (and hence knowing how the factory and people within it work), and bearing in mind the fact a lot of their parts are shared with Renault, for myself I wouldn't have a Qashqai if you paid me. Others will be along shortly to disagree.
Mind, I wouldn't buy a Kuga either.
Sorry, I know that's not been much help.0 -

I had friends who worked in the Jag plant in Liverpool - I've heard lots of tales of dodgy cars and I'm sure it happens everywhere0 -
My wife had a 2014 Kuga 2.0 TD and whilst it was nice to drive normally it was terrible in the snow, I thought she was joking until I went out in it and it really was bad, way worse than my 2.0 ST at the time with almost twice the power.
We only keep them 9 months as part of our deal so I cant comment on how it would stand up to life but it seemed well put together.Totally Debt Free & Mortgage Free Semi retired and happy0 -
Thanks for your replies... I understand there will be good/bas experiences with every car. Does anybody know how either manages for MPG?0

Horrible common gashqais everywhere driven by pensioners, kuga is more stylish0

Kuga is a lot easier to spell.

We had a Kuga TDCi in 2011 for almost 2yrs with no problems , 37mpg average never had any probs but wife wasn't as confident driving in the winter as previous Freelander ( poss due to summer tyres on it )
Very nice to drive and well equipped .0 -

I'm from the North East and know a few people that work at Nissan and have a friend that has a 64 plate Quashcow, and would say go for it. If there are problems with shoddy workmanship, staff get fired. They pay quite well so people tend to like to keep their jobs in Sunderland/Washington as there's not many going round.0

The Nissan is a Renault Kadjar with some clever outer panel changes and a badge.
The Renault is also cheaper for the exact same car.I do Contracts, all day every day.0
