I take it it's not eBay, do you want to give a few more details.0
-
Basically yes, but more details would help.0

Hi no its not EBay.....the item bought was a T-shirt which had a hole in it. I've actually received the initial costs I originally paid minus return postage costs. Coldplay official merchandise agreed it was faulty.
Thx for replies.joe2cool0 -
They say they are not responsible for return shipping costs?joe2cool0

They are responsible for the reasonable shipping costs. Basically the cheapest way to send it, but yes they are liable.0

Hi I know its only £2.36 for the return postage but its the principle now. Is there anything else I can do?

They're wrong - advise them to read up on Consumer Contracts Regulations and refund you the amount you paid for postage ASAP.Returning faulty goods bought online
The Consumer Contracts Regulations are in addition to your other legal rights.
So, if your goods are faulty and don’t do what they're supposed to, or don’t match the description given, you have the same rights under the Consumer Rights Act as you have when buying face to face.
Any terms and conditions that say you must cover the cost of returning an item don't apply where the goods being returned are faulty.0 -
Thx guys will check everything again appreciatedjoe2cool0

I'd be interested to know too, I paid nearly 15 pounds to return an electric blanket that was still under their guarantee. They also said I had to pay but they would pay the return postage.0
