Thursday 14th January - What small DFW things will you do today?

Options
When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.

Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.:money:

    Morning all,

That's the working week over. Such relief!

I'm trying to plan a productive day for today while getting some rest too up here in the land of sub-zero temperatures, snow and ice. There's a bucket-load of snow out there on the mountain.

    * Transfered money to Australia fund.

    * Clean outside of car if the weather lets up for a bit.

    * Chase up missing £30 gift voucher code.

    * Ate 10p noddles when I came home.

    * Shop around for new sunglasses for my birthday.

    * Stay sane in the face of adversity.

    How about you lovely people?

    :) All meals from stores

    Have a wonderful day everyone.
  • :hello:
Hi Ziggy - hope you're feeling better today.
  • Morning all,

Thanks for kicking us off Ally.

I am DS-free today, so it's a day of jobs and getting stuff done.

:D Food shopping arriving at 9-10am under the delivery saver (£3/month) meaning that I won't make loads of impulse purchases going to Tesco myself. Well worth the money.
:D Go for a run for free exercise
:D Finally go and buy a hoover so I can clean our floors. Going to be checking out cash converters and selling pages before I buy new.
:D Make some meals for the freezer for our little baby out of last night's roast chicken leftovers.
:D (carried over from yesterday) Go through the bottom of my wardrobe of all the 'too small' stuff to see what might now fit and go back into circulation. I'm in dire need of clothes that fit since having a baby!
:D Tidy out the cupboard in the bathroom that's full of half bottles of stuff to see if we can put off buying supplies until next week.

Think that's it for me today. Have a good day everyone!:T

    Morning all :)

Thanks for the start Ally. Enjoy your weekend :)

Woken up feeling a bit bleurrgh - shouldn't have had the second glass of wine last night :o I am such a lightweight these days :rotfl:

Oh well, at least it isn't raining :T It is very cold though  I have even put the radiator on :o

    Done so far:
    Fed hens and dog
    Cheapie porridge for breakfast

    Still to do:
    More coffee
    Dog walks x 2
    Check banks
    Wash kitchen floor
HM meals from stores (aiming for another NSD :))
Finalise online shopping order for Saturday delivery (could have done with it a bit earlier, but less hassle for driver re our road being closed at the moment if I leave it till the weekend)
Go to sales unit to see if anything needed
    Walk all journeys

Hmm that doesn't seem a very ambitious list, so will update later.
Hope that everyone has a good day, especially those who didn't yesterday for various reasons :(
    Check banks
