Dear all,
I have received a couple of spam text messages with an option to unsubscribe. To unsubscribe you have to send a text message, which comes with its own cost, but I am being charged even on an unlimited text message contract. is this fair? I do get a warning saying I will be charged, but it seems wrong to charged to unsubscribe from a junk sms service!
Thanks for your opinions

Your inclusive allowance of text messages includes those sent to standard UK mobile numbers starting 071-075 and 077-079. It also includes messages sent to standard UK landline numbers starting 01 and 02.
It does not include messages sent to numbers allocated in Jersey, Guernsey and Isle of Man. These will be charged at your provider's specific rate for this.
It also does not include messages sent to mobile shortcodes. These will be charged as "one standard rate message" plus a premium charge that is declared in advance by the service provider. Subscribe and Unsubscribe messages do not attract the premium rate component of the message charge but you will still pay the cost of "one standard rate message".
Your inclusive allowance also does not include messages sent to international numbers or messages sent while you are abroad.0
