Vodafone declined perfect credit history
Options
I recently applied for a Vodafone SIM-only contract and I was declined during the credit check.
This of course made no sense as I have perfect credit history. I have a 20 year+ record of perfect credit, with always on-time mortgage payments, credit card payments, overdraft payments, etc. I even have an o2 contract currently and that is also perfect.
I disputed this and was told I would be contacted within 48 hours.
Needless to say i have not been contacted at all and I have just tried to contact Vodafone via live chat and they just said we can't see your credit file. They just kept saying that they couldn't tell me why the credit check was declined - I know that, that's not what I was asking - and so I gave up.
Can anyone (from Vodafone) provide assistance?

They aren't going to tell you why you failed a credit check. They don't want to do business with you and I doubt you will have much luck convincing them otherwise.
Don't take it personally, just forget it and find another supplier who is happy to take your custom. And double check nothing untoward has found its way onto your credit history in error.0 -
I'd be very glad I escaped their clutches - once you're in them it's an absolute nightmare once they start inventing problems. Why would anyone choose to go there after even a cursory look on here? If they do they would then know what they're going to get, at least.0

Thanks for the replies, appreciated.
I think I'll take your advice and steer clear, better the devil you know maybe!0
