Vanquis credit limit increase

Ok, So I have been with Vanquis for just over 12 months now. After my 4th statement I was hoping for a credit limit increase - I never did hear anything.

Ah well, I thought, my be after 8 or 12 months I will be given a credit limit increase. nope, nothing, nada, zilch.

Now, do I wait it out and just be patient? What can I do to help get an increase? I don't want to ring them up because I have read on here and other forums that calling them is a waste of time.

For the record, I have a DD set-up to pay in full each month, which is exactly what has happened since I had the card.

Many thanks.

Some people seem to get increases quite often and others not that often at all, I am hoping that my increases are frequent as I have just been accepted and getting a bit bored with credit cards with rubbish limits, had my capital one 7 months and no increase from £200 and vanquis starting me off at £250.

Strange that had my capital one over a year and still sitting at £200. Got aqua card few weeks ago £500 limit will see how that works out APR does not bother me as i just use them for food shopping fuel ect and pay in full but is helping my credit file

See I wanna make some large purchases in the next 6 months or so which means I'll be carrying a balance on my card, so I am hoping by then I'll have a card with a decent limit on it and a better APR but I doubt it, aqua from what I've read seem generous with credit increases but then so do vanquis but then you read of people still having there starting limit a year on from them getting the card, I think it just all comes down to how the credit card company is feeling on the day. :D
  • I've had my vanquis for several years now and have a limit of 3500

But it's not a card you wanna be running balance on, because of the higher interest rate upon it.

Better off saving up me thinks

That's a long time have you not got better APR cards now, I guess the vanquis card can be one bonus and that's another account on my files to boost my credit building.

Vanquis suits me, I don't tend to run a balance on it anyway.

Could switch away I suppose, but as I don't have much debt elsewhere then I may consider it

Iv had the card for just over 3 years and still on £250... whilst Cap One increased on year 2 to £400 from £200.
