Documentation needed help

Not sure I've put this in the right place. Asking for a friend, honestly.
They need to get hold of a family members (B) statement of homelessness for a court case that is going to happen. B is not going to give this document or swear it again so this document is needed. Does anyone know how it can be got through correct channels. A solicitor is involved but the next appointment is not for a week.
Any help is appreciated.

There's no such thing as an official statement of homelessness.

B went into the housing association and told them she was homeless and it is that paperwork that is needed as she admitted something on there that impacts a court case, another family member (C) who is a minor was with her and repeated this information.

As I said, there is no such thing as an official statement of homelessness.

The Housing Association form 'might' have that information. However if it impacts a court case, simply get a witness from the person who took the statement.

I think you need to give more detail on the nature of this court case.

Wow, that's not a 'court case' in the typical meaning, I thought this was a criminal matter.

What possible reason could anyone need this?

I suspect you are barking up completely the wrong tree, but give some detail maybe someone can assist.

Give a broad example, or send a message. It's difficult to advise properly.

I think you will not be getting a copy of this form is the short version, but there may be other things which can be done
  • There are five tests of homelessness that someone has to fulfil in order to get help from the local authority. I can elaborate if required.
Can't see how anyone other than that individual could get such a declaration.

Have you (or your relation) spoken to Shelter? They would probably be able to help with whatever is required.
