no , sorry but that is nothing like a popla appeal , its more about the driver admitting the charge and looking for mitigation , none of it is useful and it will fail

you asked for templates of popla, you didnt see any because there are none here, nada , zilch , no templates at all , each case is bespoke, although many are similar

look at post #3 of the NEWBIES sticky thread, you will see blue hyper links to various examples of appeals already used here by other members, its those you are using to draft your own popla appeal

as mentioned earlier, the EA2010 applies to you but I have never heard of or seen a winning popla appeal based on it, and blue badges are not relevant on a private car park, they have no legal standing at all

so PLEASE read that post #3 of the NEWBIES sticky thread, look at the popla examples and find a suitable one you can use as the basis of your own popla appeal (which is what we keep telling you to do)

    No,

I'm at work at the minute and can't reply in more detail, but far too much mitigating circumstances that isn't needed. Don't send yet, someone will help you further shortly.

Also stop offering to pay - you'll not need to pay anything if you follow the instructions here for a successful popla appeal.

    Edit:

Sorry had this open and got distracted - follow the advice above. DO NOT send your above appeal to POPLA.

So that disabled motorists can decide whether they want to
use the site, there should be at least one sign containing the
terms and conditions for parking that can be viewed without
needing to leave the vehicle. Ideally this sign should be close
to any parking bays set aside for disabled motorists.

    Was there?

    ----

You need to work on facts, and simple stuff. Not mitigating circumstances. It sounds harsh, but ultimately, no one involves (other than yourself) is bothered about the hows or whys.

So if there was no lower sign near the disabled spaces, you need to specify this as a breach of the BPA COP. Then add all the usual stuff on.

Yes, the signs are right next to the disabled parking bays. No it is not at all possible to read them from the driver's seat as they are too high up. We both got out of the car to try to read the signs but were both unable to as well.

I am sorry but I simply cannot find the right page to access the letter templates :( Can somebody please give me a specific link to where I should be looking. I cannot find anything called a 'newbies' thread. I am obviously looking in the wrong place :(

go to the top of this forum , above this thread (your thread)

look at the third thread down (its usually about number 3)

it says STICKY , NEWBIES READ THIS or something similar
**STICKY** **NEWBIES!! PRIVATE PARKING TICKET? OLD OR NEW? **READ THESE FAQS FIRST!** Thankyou!
click on it and scroll down to post #3

read it , click on any appeal examples so they open in new windows , read them , then start on your popla appeal

ps:- they are still examples, not templates, I repeat , there are no templates, so we cannot give you links to what does not exist ;)

please remove the word "template" from your vocabulary and chuck it in the bin

I GAVE YOU A LINK TO A THREAD WITH A POPLA APPEAL FOR A P&D CAR PARK ON 11th AND TOLD YOU TO READ THE POSTS FROM THAT DAY!

HER FINAL APPEAL WORDING WAS IN POST #29 OF THE THREAD I SHOWED YOU. YOU COULD HAVE COPIED & CHANGED THAT ONE TO SUIT (CHANGED THE DETAILS AND PARKING FIRM) AND PLONKED IT HERE FOR US TO COMMENT ON, IN 10 MINUTES FLAT.

And the NEWBIES thread post #3 has POPLA examples galore! POST #3 OF THAT STICKY THREAD.

I did eventually manage to get the charge dropped completely. I'm afraid I was less than impressed by the what I felt were heavy handed comments that seemed to belittle me. I simply did not understand what people were saying in the advice I was given. I felt as though I was a child being spoken at by officious adults and that's not a nice feeling when you are in your 50's. I shall not bother asking for help on this sort of thing again on here! I am am not alone in my feelings surrounding this either.

So, how did I get the charge dropped? I spoke to the manager of the restaurant that we visited and explained the circumstances. The manager contacted somebody at Parking Eye who waived the charge without any argument. A good outcome in the end.

You mean like you were advised to do in the very first reply to this thread?

You could also complain to the restaurant - if they are onsite, within the retail park - who may well have a phone number to cancel these on the spot.

You were given advice that you didn't follow.

You were given more advice that you didn't follow.

One of the people that gave you the advice is a working Mum with four kids, along with help from numerous other people, and has spent hundreds of hours of her own time to create everything you see in the NEWBIES thread.

How would you feel after putting in all that effort when someone then says, I don't like the way you gave me advice?

Everyone here is a volunteer, so the advice you were getting is the best value for money you ever receive. To then come back and complain is a jolly poor show in my opinion, and you should be ashamed of yourself.
I am glad however that you got the PCN cancelled eventually.

My advice now is to never go anywhere again where Parking Lie operate.
