I don't think I'm making myself clear here. Let me try again.
Let's say the seller packed his parcels on the morning of the 11th then marks them as despatched. He doesn't go straight to the post office in the morning because he usually receives more orders in the day which he will pack and mark 'despatched' as they come in.
Then off he goes in the afternoon to the post office as he always does at say 4.00pm but due to road works, car breakdown, neighbour keeping him talking for ten minutes or whatever, arrives at the PO at 4.35pm instead of the usual 4.20pm. Unfortunately the last collection was at 4.30pm and he's just missed it. His packages sit in the local PO until first collection the next day.
No, I understood. What I'm saying is they should have gone well before the 4pm last collection time as they marked dispatch in the morning and it was an order from the week before.
The item should have been with me on the day that it was stamped at their end. So it should have been there well before last collection time to get it to me then.0 -
Aah. Sorry I misunderstood. So really it should have been posted before the 11th. In that case the seller has most certainly let you down.0

Yep, or posted earlier in the day if it was posted too late (as being stamped on the 12th means it did make it in 1 day). I paid more for the item than I had. First time I've paid extra for postage too to make sure I'd get it asap, could have bought it from any other seller to get it today. So not impressed0
