Nokia 1112 & Dual Sims

I've bought a dual sim holder to use in a Nokia 1112, the type that doesn't require the sim cards to be cut. Having fitted it I just get the message to insert a sim. Has anyone managed to successfully use a dual sim in this phone?
Thanks
Thanks

Not a 1112 I haven't, make sure it is firmly in place sometimes when you palce the battery on top it slips. It should work, there are a few that have not worked but this is due to a holder fault, try pushing on the battery when it is all in place, if it doesnt work then I would guess its a faulty holder.0 -
The phone has a metal clasp to hold the sim in place. I've tried your suggestions but to no avail. I guess it's faulty. Thanks anyway.0

If it was bought off ebay return it, they are prone to being faulty, They should replace it for you, if they dont drop me a P.M I have loads stashed in my loft and will dig one out for the 1112 and send it to you free of charge.0 -
Hi Jay, Thats very generous of you. Yes I bought it off ebay, I've emailed the seller and am just waiting for their response. Hopefully they will replace it. They've sold a fair few and after looking at their feedback, quite a few are faulty.
Thanks again0 -

That is usually the case with quite a few of them, them little connection between the 2 sim holders can easily become damaged, let me know how you get on, if you dont get it sorted I will get one posted to you.0 -
Just an update,[FONT="] the seller has agreed to send me another dual sim holder but has just advised that it will only work with 2 GSM sim cards from the same network, this information wasn't included in their listing. Even with the same network cards the original holder is still faulty.
Is it correct that you can't mix network sims in a dual sim holder, this was advertised as the latest version, seems to defeat the point of the holder if true.

Yes you can mix the sims, as I currently use an O2 and a Vodafone in the same phone.0
