    he's talking about the older 1.4 tsi engines(discontinued some months/18+? ago) yours will be fine
  • There are several different TSi variants. The older 1.4 twin charge (as used in the Golf GT and some others) has a reputation for using oil and being a little flaky, but I've not seen anything about the newer variants having any issues (happy to be corrected on this though.).

    I've topped up with < 0.5l oil over the nearly 2 years ownership, and nothing since it was serviced which I don't consider unreasonable.
