I initiated a switch to them on 24th March and so far their documentation has been spot on.
They'll be taking the first DD on 14th April and supply is scheduled to start on 23rd.
I just hope that First Utility will be as efficient in refunding my estimated £50 credit.
I will however be keeping a spreadsheet of monthly electricity meter readings and carefully checking each bill/statement and downloading a copy for my own records - just in case. I shall also take heed of Hengus's advice and making sure that my readings are give the day before the billing dateNever under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0 -
Many thanks for the advice, I shall certainly follow it!
Just to check is the date I go by the 'Payment Date' in Billing Info (which is the 1st of each month) or the day my supply started (today, 10th).
Thanks.0 -
My statements cover the period 10th of one month through to the 9th of the next, so I give them a meter reading on the 9th. The first payment is based on your application to switch date plus 3 weeks so the DD and statement dates differ. Many thanks for the advice, I shall certainly follow it!
